Bucks County Playhouse April 12th in Harding Twp 11-4
Alex Fraser, the Tony Award winning Director of the Bucks County Playhouse in New Hope PA, will be here to introduce you to this historic and newly reinvigorated theatrical gem.
The theater itself started out as a Revolution Era gristmill on the banks of the Delaware River. Derelcit and threatened with demolition by the 1930's, it was rescued by the vibrant creative community of Bucks County who saw its potental as a regioanl theater. With involvement of accomplished local talent, scuch as Broadway legend Moss Hart, the playhouse become a huge hit with a National reputaion. Soon Dubbed "America's Summer Theater" it has hosted a long list of theatrical who's who's and a decade later became a stopping ground on the way to Brodaswy. Five years ago with new owners, the playhouse has rejoined it's reputation.
